As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the effective and timely delivery of additional works, planned and responsive maintenance, reducing corrective actions, and ensuring their closure within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:- Competence Assessment: Evaluate the skills of operatives to ensure they are qualified for assigned tasks and conduct regular reviews of their performance.
- Safety and Compliance: Produce high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issue safety programs, and Permits to Work as required. Conduct Plant Room inspections.
- Technical Support: Provide expert advice to site teams, subcontractors, and end-users. Record tasks and ensure all job-related documentation is accurately completed and distributed.
- Project Management: Plan, direct, and supervise site operations, including the management of sub-contractors and overseeing activities to ensure value for money and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintenance Delivery: Contribute to the development and execution of maintenance schedules and statements of need in line with SFG20 standards.
- Qualifications: A qualified and experienced engineer within the electrical discipline.
- Skills: Strong supervisory abilities and practical experience with Safe Systems of Work, including the operational delivery of JSP375.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- Commitment: Willingness to work overtime when needed and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
