Job Title: Fitter / Fabricator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fitter / Fabricator to join our team at Russell Taylor Group Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our mobile and fixed plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and generators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • A technical qualification in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mobile & Fixed Plant Technician or similar role in a relevant industry.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment schematics and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
