About the Role

At Place2Be, we believe that every child deserves access to mental health support whenever they need it. Our team of highly skilled counsellors work in schools to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to open up about their feelings and concerns.

As a level 4 qualified therapist/counsellor, you will work one-to-one with young people, providing clinical assessments and interventions. You will also engage with the wider school community to promote understanding of child mental health and the importance of early intervention.

We are looking for a qualified, creative, and ambitious individual to join our team in Edinburgh. You will have the opportunity to work with three schools, including Balerno Community High School and two primary schools, and will be part of a large community across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one counselling sessions with young people
  • Engage with the wider school community to promote mental health awareness
  • Work with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement mental health programs
