Production Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our client's team in Winchester on a temporary to permanent basis. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for working on the shop floor, reporting to the Production Supervisor, and performing various tasks related to wiring and soldering lighting products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wiring and soldering products according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Using hand tools to assemble and test products
  • Working in a fast-paced production environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborating with the Production Supervisor to resolve any issues or concerns

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in wiring and soldering or a related field
  • Experience working in an electrical environment
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.60 (increasing to £13.15 per hour once permanent)
  • Monday to Friday working hours with 45 minutes unpaid lunch break
  • 7.5 hours paid per day
  • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (once permanent)
  • Free onsite parking
  • Opportunity to progress to a permanent role
