Job Summary:

IA Interior Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer/Job Captain to join our London office. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for providing design support in project administration, design development, and contract documents. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality interior architecture solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage contract documents (CDs) to ensure compliance with firm standards, building codes, and ADA requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff and design team members to provide technical solutions for design challenges.
  • Manage client relationships for small to medium-sized projects, including work performed by internal and external resources.
  • Coordinate engineering consultant work to ensure timely submission of documents.
  • Manage contract administration budgets and ensure adherence to set budgets.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide feedback on work product.
  • Conduct client interviews to determine technical requirements for the design.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of architecture or design school (equivalent experience may be substituted).
  • 3+ years' experience in corporate interior design projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of design principles and standards.
  • Intermediate documentation and field observational skills.
  • Advanced interior architecture detailing skills.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
  • Advanced Revit skills.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
