Role Overview:
The company is seeking experienced and motivated Site Managers to lead their on-site construction activities on brand new developments in Edinburgh and East Lothian.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that their housing developments are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee all on-site operations, from initial groundworks to final handover, ensuring the smooth progression of the project.
- Health & Safety: Implement and maintain strict health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safeguarding the welfare of the workforce.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction work meets the company's high-quality standards and adheres to the specified design and construction criteria.
- Team Management: Lead and manage the on-site team, including subcontractors, ensuring effective collaboration and high productivity.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and surveyors, to keep them informed of progress and address any issues.
- Resource Management: Manage site resources efficiently, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any challenges or deviations from the project plan and recommending solutions.
Requirements:
- Education: A degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience: A proven track record of experience as a Site Manager in the residential construction sector.
- Certifications: Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work certification are required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, NHBC building regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficient in using project management software and MS Office Suite.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
