Job Purpose

As a Rendering Engineer at Lighthouse Games, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to unlock the full potential of our engine and hardware. Leveraging Unreal Engine 5 as our foundation, you'll enhance and expand the engine to deliver cutting-edge visuals and gameplay experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Engine Lead and other discipline leads to maximize engine and hardware capabilities
  • Own and deliver large-scale projects autonomously, driving results-oriented planning and execution
  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate the quality of our work
  • Contribute to our dynamic team culture, fostering creativity and collaboration
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer on multiple AAA titles
  • Knowledge of modern and emerging gaming technologies and techniques
  • Exceptional C++ skills, including code profiling, debugging, and optimization
  • Strong understanding of code architecture best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently, plan, and meet scheduled goals autonomously
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality in all aspects of work
  • Passion for gaming and game development
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on a AAA title
  • Experience mentoring other Engineers
  • Experience working on current-generation consoles
  • Experience working on open-world titles
