Job Description

We seek a highly skilled UK Regional Sales Account Manager to join our small but dynamic UK Sales department.

Your primary goal will be to maintain excellent relationships with existing OEMs, Dealers, and Retailers while developing new connections with emerging customers in the UK & Ireland region.

To succeed, you must have an in-depth understanding of our product functionality and how it enhances customers' boating experiences.

You will need to foster strong relationships, possess knowledge about boats and our products to gain customer trust.

This role involves extensive domestic travel, meeting customers, attending boat shows, including some weekend work.

  • Develop sales strategies for Retail, OEM, and Service Dealers.
  • Identify and create new sales opportunities for dealers and consumers not currently using Raymarine products.
  • Promote effective distribution networks through dealers to facilitate rapid and economical delivery of Raymarine products to customers within the territory.
  • Regularly visit trade customers within the regions to ensure dealers are promoting our products and providing excellent service to end-users.
  • Submit and send regular Sales Activity Reports to the UK Sales Manager.
  • C Coordinate promotions and point-of-sale activities across various channels.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Evaluate competitors in the sales channels, gathering price, promotion, and point-of-sale data.
  • Assist with setting up and manning trade events/boat shows throughout the year, including some weekends.
  • Perform any other 'ad hoc' tasks required by the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this position, consider the following:

  • A genuine passion for boating.
  • At least 1 year's full-time job experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Sales or service experience is advantageous, though not necessary.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and written.
  • A valid full manual driving license is essential.
  • Previous channel sales experience, particularly in B2B & B2C, preferably in marine markets, would be beneficial.
  • An openness to collaboration with other departments and flexibility in your work approach.
  • A willingness to travel up to 75% of working time, both domestically and internationally.
