Key Responsibilities:- Develop, review, and update project and company risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Review construction phase plans and compliance documentation to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Provide health and safety advice and support to our pre-contracts, delivery, and design teams to promote a culture of safety.
- Assist in setting company health and safety targets and objectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and assess the effectiveness of behavioural safety initiatives to promote a positive safety culture.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and provide comprehensive reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation to ensure our operations remain compliant.
- Proven background in health and safety in the construction industry, including fit-out and built environment experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the current CDM Regulations and ability to apply them in a practical context.
- Experience with safe access systems, temporary works procedures, and asbestos management.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills to effectively communicate health and safety information to stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels, including clients, to promote a culture of safety.
- Resilience and confidence in confrontational situations to effectively manage health and safety risks.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in health, safety, environment, and quality management to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
