Job Summary:
Thornbury Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team in a community-based setting. As a Pediatric Nurse with Thornbury Community Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a young girl with complex care needs, providing bespoke care and support to enable her to stabilize at home and achieve personal goals.
About the Role:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a 2-and-a-half-year-old girl with a diagnosis of CCHS and Hirschsprung's Disease.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the girl's healthcare team.
- Monitor and report any changes in the girl's condition to the healthcare team.
- Participate in shadow shifts to ensure a smooth transition and provide support to the girl and her family.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in pediatric nursing in the last 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric care, including tracheostomy care and suctioning, oxygen therapy, and other relevant skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
