Job Position for Care Assistants in Haxby (York)

Overview

Disability North is seeking a reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to support a friendly 30-year-old physically disabled man with a spinal injury in his family home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with day-to-day activities such as personal care, preparing food/drinks, and attending medical appointments.
  • Supporting with light domestic duties and engaging in social activities.
  • Working on a rota basis to cover mornings and some evenings, with flexibility to accommodate the client's needs.

Requirements

  1. Experience in health and social care is an advantage but not essential.
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Respect for confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  4. Enhanced DBS clearance required.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly rate of £11.00-£13.00, with 5.6 weeks' annual holiday pro-rata.
