About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Workshop Engineer to join our team at Ganymede Solutions. As a Diesel Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out fault diagnostics on modern diesel engines and ensuring performance and availability for the diesel engines in the rolling stock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out fault diagnostics on modern diesel engines
  • Ensure performance and availability for the diesel engines in the rolling stock
  • Undertake remote diagnostic work to obtain, evaluate and interpret data to identify likely faults before physically seeing the engine
  • Provide exceptional customer service and work closely with customers to solve engineering problems
Requirements
  • Qualified to NVQ3 as a minimum
  • Demonstrable experience of fault diagnostics and remote diagnostics and conditioning
  • Experience in both the mechanical and electrical maintenance of diesel engines and / or propulsion systems and associated electrical control technology, ECU's (Electronic control unit)
  • Ability to work in a highly safety critical environment
  • Pre-employment checks including medicals, drug and alcohol screens
