We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods across Europe, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with European road freight clients and suppliers
- Calculate and provide accurate freight quotations for export and import shipments
- Manage operational administration, including job cards and booking confirmations
- Raise all necessary operational documentation, including customs clearance formalities
- Oversee European road freight consignments from origin to destination
- Invoice clients and complete job files
Requirements:
- Proven experience in European road freight forwarding
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and suppliers
- Numerate with experience in calculating freight quotations
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft applications
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary of £28,000 to £31,000
- Pension scheme
- 22 days holiday per annum
