About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with expertise in ventilation to join our estates team at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site's mechanical ventilation services, including Medical Gas and F Gas.
  2. You will apply your trade skills and experience to provide one-to-one training to members of the team and ensure the satisfactory completion of statutory obligations and allocated maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, new and refurbishment works.
  3. Carry out maintenance/repair on mechanical ventilation services to plant and equipment across the site, including supervising both in-house staff and contractors.
  4. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a need for participation in the on-call rota.
Requirements
  1. A recognised Mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  2. A proven track record within maintenance / hard services.
  3. Lead Medical Gas AP and subject matter expert.
  4. Strongly Client focussed and able to take ownership of projects.
  5. Good IT skills with experience in the use of CAFM systems, word and excel.
