About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our Central Finance team at Shepherd Neame. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our fixed assets, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute asset requests daily, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Produce monthly settlements of completed tangible fixed-asset projects, reconciling the fixed asset register to the general ledger
  • Assist with the recharging of project costs, processing asset disposals, and rectifying impairments as required
  • Report on fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation on a monthly basis for the board, and assist with analysis for corporation tax purposes
  • Prepare capital expenditure, disposal, and depreciation budgets, and settlements of functional locations, events, and customers monthly
  • Maintain an up-to-date schedule of assets held for sale, and liaise with the Property Teams to facilitate a strong communication channel with internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstratable experience in a financial role, fixed asset, accountancy, or similar
  • Qualified or working towards AAT Level 4 or other equivalent and relevant credentials
  • Strong IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant systems
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, or hospitality industries is preferred but not essential
