Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and dedicated support to young individuals, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages growth and resilience.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the unique needs of each individual are met.
- Support young individuals in their education, leisure activities, and daily routines, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the young individuals in your care, maintaining a secure and stable environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of interactions and incidents, contributing to the overall quality of care.
Requirements:
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare or above
- Proven experience working as a Support Worker in a Children's Residential setting
- In-depth knowledge of therapeutic interventions and regulatory standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and dedication to promoting a secure environment for young individuals
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting and empowering young individuals
