About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Connexin Live, a state-of-the-art music and events complex in Hull. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations team in setting up the venue for shows and ensuring safety guidelines are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Team in preparations for all public events, including concerts and exhibitions.
  • Build the venue stage system to specific event requirements.
  • Install crowd control barriers and queuing systems.
  • Set floor seating configurations.
  • Set and operate the venue dividing wall system.
  • Work on changeovers between events to configure the venue for client needs.
  • Communicate and provide assistance to other departments and touring productions.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and visitors at all levels professionally.
  • Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the events industry.
  • Counterbalance Fork Lift truck training.
