About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team at Mears. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for completing repair and refurbishment works to a high standard, adhering to our standard operating procedures.

Your primary focus will be on undertaking construction, fault finding, and maintenance repairs, aiming for first-time completion within budget and time parameters. You will also be expected to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, clients, and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring a high standard of customer experience.

You will be responsible for processing all activities electronically using a handheld device, including worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works, van stock replenishment, and vehicle inspections. Additionally, you will be required to keep company assets in good condition and report any damages to your supervisor/manager.

As a Bricklayer at Mears, you will be expected to utilize existing stock or collect materials as needed to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.

You will also be required to attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as needed, and participate in call-out cover to ensure contract compliance and service user satisfaction for emergency repairs.

Role Criteria:

  • UK full driving licence
  • Provide own hand tools and power tools
  • Previous bricklaying experience
  • Customer care experience
  • IT literate
