We are seeking an experienced Research Physicist to join our team at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Pulsed Power Programmes to agreed time, cost, and quality metrics.
Job Responsibilities- Conducting performance analysis of existing Pulsed Power systems
- Theoretical, modelling, and experimental technical programmes to enhance electron beam flash radiographic sources and other pulsed power machine technologies
- A degree in Physics or STEM discipline, equivalent NQF level 6 qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge or working experience of pulsed power systems, electron beam transport, or radiofrequency accelerating cavities
- Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
- 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave
