About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at NOV Inc. in Montrose. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient management of our workspace and production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and test various NOV Rig technologies equipment.
  • Support, improve, and lead on-time assembly & testing of equipment.
  • Generate innovative ideas and solve problems creatively and efficiently.
  • Read, interpret, and follow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures.
  • Be proficient with engineering measuring tools, such as Micrometres, Vernier Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
  • Complete facility maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure all job-related QA plans, workscopes, route carts, inspection reports, test reports, and build sheets are filled out as the job progresses.
  • Conduct equipment testing/FATs in accordance with NOV procedures.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.

Requirements:

  • A time-served apprentice or HNC qualified in a relevant subject.
  • Working knowledge within an oil & gas, heavy plant, factory machinery, or mechanical aerospace environment.
  • Working knowledge of Pressure Equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic systems.
