Marketing and Distribution Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Marketing and Distribution Assistant. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing and distribution of our independent animation and short film projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the marketing and distribution of our projects, including managing film festival distribution and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Promote festival screenings and other news on social media.
- Observe meetings, take notes, and liaise with artists and crew members.
- Assist with online and live events.
- Undertake desk research.
- Attend meetings and events as required.
Requirements
- A keen interest in independent animation and short film.
- A desire to work in production, marketing, or administration.
- Confidence with using Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets, Word documents, and email.
- Experience with posting to social media platforms.
- First-rate notetaking skills.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, confidence in using their initiative, and able to take responsibility for their work.
About Animate Projects
Animate Projects is a company that creates projects at the intersection of animation, film, and art. We engage the public with the creativity and craft of the artform through developing new work, supporting artists to create thought-provoking projects, engaging with audiences across digital and physical contexts, and promoting critical debate.
What We Offer
We offer a remote internship for two days a week for around three months, with the possibility of extending to up to six months. The salary is £13.15 per hour for a 7-hour day, with additional expenses paid for travel to events or meetings as required.
