Veterinary Medicine Professional

VCA Canada Animal Hospitals is currently recruiting for experienced veterinary medicine professionals to join our team of caring veterinary professionals across Canada. Our extensive geographic reach ensures that you can find the perfect location that aligns with your lifestyle and professional goals.

  • You will have completed a doctor of veterinary medicine from an accredited university.
  • Opportunities for those who have completed a doctor of veterinary medicine from an unaccredited university, including completion (or close to completion) of NAVLE and corresponding exams.
  • 3 years minimum experience working in a hospital and managing patient appointments.
  • New graduates welcomed in specific hospitals throughout Canada.
  • Working with patients and their owners; wellness exams, vaccines, surgical procedures, dental procedures, nutrition, skin-related ailments, infections, mobility issues, and end-of-life care and support.
  • Managing 15 to 20-minute appointments with the support of a technician/technologist, technician assistants, and front desk veterinary professionals.
  • Genuine passion for veterinary medicine and for our furry friends.
  • Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices – you understand the importance of your tech assistants, animal care attendants, and veterinary technicians and treat all with respect and genuine care.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and community.
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals.
