Swimming Instructor

The Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is seeking a highly skilled Swimming Instructor to lead and deliver learn to swim sessions to children and adults of all abilities. This is a part-time position, with the successful candidate working approximately 9 hours per week.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. To be considered for this position, applicants must have a minimum Level 1 Certificate for Teaching Aquatics and be committed to qualifying to UKCC Level 2 Teacher of Aquatics / ASA, Full Teacher of Swimming or equivalent within an agreed timescale.

This role involves:

• Delivering fun and innovative swimming lessons to children and adults of all abilities, in line with the Scottish Swimming (SASA) Learn to Swim programme.
• Utilising continuous assessment methods to observe, analyse and record progress of swimmers through the Learn to Swim Programme, in line with the LTAD (Long term athlete development) Swimmer Pathway.
• Promoting the Fife Sports and Leisure Trust Learn to Swim programme and providing information on alternative products and services.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and able to communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and team members. They will also demonstrate an understanding of Health and Safety when delivering swimming lessons.
