Job Description:

This role is part of the First Class Support team, providing academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA). We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced specialist support staff member to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 Academic Year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students who require notes to be taken on their behalf. They will produce an accurate and legible record of the content of lectures, seminars, discussions, and off-campus events in the student's preferred style and format.

We offer flexible working patterns and access to a CPD Accredited Qualification. The ideal candidate will have experience writing notes at a further education/university level, with quick and accurate typing skills. Prior experience working with students with specific learning difficulties or hearing/vision impairment is beneficial.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with note-taking requirements.
  • Produce high-quality, legible records of lectures, seminars, discussions, and off-campus events.
  • Collaborate with students to understand their preferred style and format.

What You'll Need:
  • Relevant experience in note-taking at a higher education level.
  • Excellent typing skills with accuracy.
  • Prior experience working with students with specific needs is advantageous.
