Heavy Duty Technician Position

The New Appointments Group has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Duty Technician to join our team in Maidstone on a 6 month temporary basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing vehicles and equipment to the highest standards, ensuring the effective operation of our fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service vehicles and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
- Document repairs or work carried out accurately.
- Manage stock levels of local parts to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with the fleet and equipment service to meet departmental needs and objectives.
Requirements:
- IMI Master Technician qualification or ability to attain and maintain this standard through formal assessment.
- IRTEC Certificate (if applicable).
- Experience or willingness to learn relevant servicing requirements for specialist vehicles.
- Level 4 certification in ICE/hybrid/electric vehicle diagnosis, testing, and repair or ability to attain and maintain this standard through formal assessment of future fleet.
- Experience working with complex, multi-demand fleets and technicians.
- Prior experience with Volvo/Scania/Mercedes/Iveco advantageous.
Working Hours and Remuneration:
This is a 37 hour per week, Monday to Friday position, with an hourly rate of £18.85-£20.71.
