Maths Teacher Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in South Yorkshire. As a vital member of the team, the successful candidate will provide excellent education in Maths and foster a supportive atmosphere for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the British education curriculum.
  • Plan and prepare Maths lessons according to the curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and report on students' progress.
  • Adapt teaching approach to accommodate diverse classroom settings and cater to varying student needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment contributing to student growth and development.
  • Implement school policies and procedures to maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
  • Proven teaching experience in a similar role with secondary school children or within an educational setting.
  • Solid knowledge of the UK Maths curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with efficient classroom management skills.
  • Currently residing in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
  • Passion for education and student support.
