About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Land and Planning department, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of our business and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Land Team to identify and assess new business opportunities, undertaking feasibility studies and advising on the promotion of sites and opportunities.
  • Manage the Business Planning Strategy and compliance, coordinating the planning development plans and planning applications.
  • Appoint and manage consultants to prepare town planning and new housing proposals, ensuring timely and robust planning applications are submitted to the relevant authorities.
  • Monitor and maintain schedules to ensure all S106 obligations are met and planning conditions are discharged in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including external clients and government agencies, to ensure viable developments are achieved and delivered efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, working with colleagues and partners to manage project risks.
  • Provide detailed planning handovers to the delivery team upon receipt of successful planning consents.
  • Represent the company at key planning meetings, appeal hearings, and public inquiries.
