As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the testing and verification of advanced radar software systems, ensuring that software meets rigorous quality and performance standards.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled engineer to make a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge radar technology that supports naval defence.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the creation and execution of manual and automated tests to validate software functionality and behaviour.
  • Overseeing the generation of Software Functional Proving Builds, using components under configuration control.
  • Leading software verification and validation activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Producing and maintaining essential testing documentation, including Software Test Plans (STPs), Software Test Reports (STRs), and the Verification Cross-Reference Index (VCRI).

About You:

We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring software quality in complex systems.

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and familiarity with high-level design methodologies (e.g., UML).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software lifecycle (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and associated standards (e.g., ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207).
