Facilities Assistant

BAM FM is seeking a Cleaner to work out of Crown Meadow and Alvechurch Schools. The available shift pattern is 3.30pm - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate of £12.26.

• Cleaning in accordance with the premises specification.

• Cleaning all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.

• Cleaning floors, walls, partitions, and internal woodwork as required.

• Cleaning kitchen and catering areas.

• Cleaning toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas.

• Cleaning equipment after use.

• Undertaking special cleaning programmes during designated periods.

• Collecting and disposing of waste.

• Cleaning and maintaining waste bins.

• Maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and productive working environment.

• Maintaining records as requested.

• Refilling and replacing consumables.

• Reporting faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements to the appropriate person.

• Maintaining the security of premises by securing entrances and exits as required and reporting potential security breaches.

• Ensuring lights and other equipment are switched off as necessary.

• Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of staff and visitors at all times.

• Monitoring and managing stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.

• Maintaining specialist equipment, checking for quality and safety, and reporting any damage or need for repair.

• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and COSHH procedures by self and others.

• Demonstrating and assisting others in the safe and effective use of specialist equipment and materials.

• Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
