Scantec Recruitment is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in North Lanarkshire to find a skilled Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business that is part of a wider food group with a great culture and rich heritage.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum plant availability while maintaining exceptionally high factory standards.
You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to resolve electrical and mechanical plant failures, complete PPM according to the schedule, and assist in projects, installation, and commissioning of equipment as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve electrical and mechanical plant failures as required.
- Comply with safe working practices at all times and report any safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete PPM according to the schedule and as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete line change-overs as efficiently as possible according to the production plan.
- Work closely with the hygiene team to strip and re-build plant to allow access for cleaning purposes.
- Assist in the compiling of and the completion of Engineering work requests in a timely manner.
- Assist as appropriate with the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Complete improvement projects on new and existing plant as directed by the Maintenance manager.
- Compile downtime reports post plant breakdowns.
- Complete hand-over documentation daily from shift to shift.
Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Engineer / Multi Skilled Engineer with the appropriate electrical engineering qualifications (HND, HNC or equivalent).
Ideally, you will be from a food or FMCG manufacturing background with good analytical and root cause analysis skills.
