About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation and Control Specialist to join our team at Westlakes Recruit. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for various projects, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in I&C design, with a degree in C&I, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the field. They should be proficient in producing high-quality documents, managing workload efficiently, and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is approximately £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing, reviewing, and updating system documentation for operator instructions, human machine interface, safety and environmental, control logic design, and periodic testing.
  • Performing analysis for defining the C&I Functional Requirements of the system and production of the C&I logic.
  • Writing of the Instrumentation and Control Functional Requirements, Functional Test Procedure, and system design manual part 5 (C&I logic description).
  • Specifying human machine interface (alarms sheets, operating images, operating modes).
