Position: Pharmacy Operations Support Specialist
Location: On site
Reporting to: Operations Lead

Role Description
The Pharmacy Operations Support Specialist role within the Pharmacy team requires a proactive and patient-focused individual who is eager to assist patients in navigating their pharmacy journey.
Annual Salary: £26,000 PA Pro-rata
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to patient inquiries via telephone and email
- Performing administrative tasks related to prescription processing
- Troubleshooting basic IT issues that patients may encounter, including the use of Shopify and payment-related problems.
- Collaborating with pharmacy team members and clinics to ensure timely medication dispensing.
- Assisting the Pharmacy team in the following areas:
- Managing prescriptions received from clinics
- Resolving minor queries
- Being the first point of contact for any quality concerns regarding medications
- Guiding patients through their care within the pharmacy and clinic
- Supporting administrative functions related to ordering processes
- Assisting with operational and clinical recruitment and onboarding
- Being the first point of contact for complaints and incidents, gathering feedback, and coordinating with the Head of Governance on complaints and compliments
- Reporting incidents and significant events and liaising with the Head of Governance
- Coordinating with product and tech support teams on technical issues
- Working closely with the line manager and broader team on service enhancements
- Attending work-related meetings as necessary
- Maintaining all mandatory training and familiarity with company policies and SOPs
- Flexibility in working hours may be required
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Over 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of operating within a highly regulated industry and adhering to policies and SOPs
- High level of IT proficiency
- Ability to perform under pressure
