Job Summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-run company in the food sector. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment, as well as implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and repair multiple machines, including filling machines, spiral freezers, and ovens, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead all engineering activities required for technical audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovation and improvements associated with the FMCG environment, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
  • Support the achievement of productivity and efficiency improvement targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
  • Deliver projects in line with health and safety legislation requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Recognized Mechanical and Electrical Engineering qualifications.
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of legislative requirements and risk management.
  • Excellent project management and health and safety knowledge, with a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred.
  • Practical application of continuous improvement methodologies, with knowledge of PPM strategy, improvement techniques, and tools.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
