Job Description:

Volaris Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Financial Analyst and Controller to lead our finance team in producing high-quality financial reports and management accounts. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth through insightful financial analysis and strategic planning.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will oversee the preparation of financial reports, manage the assistant management accountant, and ensure compliance with statutory accounting and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To oversee the management accounts process.
  2. Preparation of monthly management accounts for the VBU.
  3. Produce the monthly financial reports with commentary and insight.
  4. Produce the QSR submission for the VBU.
  5. Support the statutory accounting and audit process.
  6. Working with the finance team, ensure management accounts are prepared in line with the monthly timetable.
  7. Preparation of monthly reports for stakeholders.
  8. Work with the VBU FD to prepare the QSR.
  9. Oversee the Assistant Management Accountant.
  10. Preparation & posting of journals: accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition & balance sheet.
  11. A thorough awareness of the operational activities in the business.
  12. Ensure the balance sheet schedules are up to date & anomalies investigated.
  13. Balance Sheet account reconciliations, including the management of the rental contracts and deferred incomes.
  14. Preparation of divisional management accounts & variance analysis for the VBU.
  15. Support the statutory accounting and audit process.
  16. Ad hoc analysis & projects.
  17. Yearend audit requests & reconciliations.
  18. Preparation & submission of VAT returns.
  19. People management, performing 1-2-1s and annual reviews, involvement in objective setting.
  20. Coaching, mentoring and developing employees.
  21. Ad-hoc requests.
  22. Any other reasonable duties requested by management.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 per annum, based on UK location and industry standards.
