We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Tax Advisor to join our team at TPF Recruitment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide tax advice across a wide variety of sectors and taxes, liaising with HMRC, drafting reports and letters of advice, and preparing calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising and corresponding with HMRC regarding clearance applications, enquiries, etc.
  • Drafting reports and letters of advice for various tax advisory issues
  • Preparing calculations to support advice
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
  • Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
  • Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax team

Examples of Work:

  • Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
  • Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
  • Preparation of research & development (R&D) claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns
  • Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation

Requirements:

  • CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience with corporate taxes is essential; experience in other areas of tax is beneficial
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
