We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Governance and Patient Safety Professional to join our team at the Wales Medicines Strategy Group. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the development of our clinical governance and patient safety framework.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of openness, transparency, and collaboration within our organization. They will work closely with our medical quality and safety lead, head of nursing, and other stakeholders to develop and implement a robust patient safety and clinical governance framework.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical leadership, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.

In terms of salary, we offer a competitive package that reflects the seniority of this role. The estimated annual salary range is £45,000 - £60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and clinical governance across the organization
  • Develop and implement a robust patient safety and clinical governance framework
  • Work closely with medical quality and safety lead, head of nursing, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
  • Analyze data and trends to inform quality improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
