Vacancy Overview

East Lothian Council is seeking to recruit Classroom Assistants for their supply list to support the quality of teaching and learning to pupils and assist in the promotion of pupil development through support and involvement in learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide support to teachers and pupils in the classroom
  • To assist in the preparation and delivery of learning activities
  • To help promote pupil development and well-being
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

Requirements

Applicants should have a strong commitment to supporting the education and well-being of pupils, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Arrangements

Successful applicants will be required to work on an 'as and when required' basis, across schools within East Lothian.

Child Protection Training

All Supply Staff are expected to complete Child Protection Training on the Council's e-learning system within one week of being added to the Supply Register.
