We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Clerk to provide administrative support to our surgical short stay unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with patients, relatives, and medical colleagues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the ward team, including maintaining accurate patient records, updating IT systems, and filing admission and discharge documents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and medical colleagues to ensure a high standard of service.
- Sort and distribute mail, and re-address discharged patients' mail as necessary.
- Support ward staff in dealing with telephone enquiries and provide training to new members of staff.

Person Specification- Good basic education
