The Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our well-established manufacturing and retail business. The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for managing and developing our purchasing function.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage suppliers effectively. They will also have a keen eye for detail and be able to analyze data to inform purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop our purchasing function to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
  • Maintain and develop a stable quality supply chain, ensuring that materials and products meet company quality standards.
  • Liaise and support internal design and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Seek opportunities for material and product improvements with the design team and senior management.
Requirements
  • Educated to Degree standard with a formal qualification in supply chain management, business administration, or finance.
  • Experienced as a senior buyer or purchasing manager with strong commercial awareness.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage suppliers, travelling abroad when required.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data with strong decision-making skills.
  • An excellent communicator with colleagues and team player.
