Electrical Supervisor Job Description

A leading electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their team. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and senior management to ensure smooth project execution
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and perform repairs or replacements
  • Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure proper functioning
  • Follow local building codes and safety regulations when performing installations or repairs
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electrical team members
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified with valid 2360 Part 1 & 2, or 2330 Level 2 & 3, th Edition and 2391 Inspection & testing qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role
  • Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for electrical work
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent people management, communication and teamwork abilities
  • SMSTS qualification would be an advantage, but not essential
  • SSSTS qualification would be an advantage, but not essential
  • NICEIC qualified supervisor would be an advantage, but not essential

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £18.50-£21.00

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, with overtime available
  • Weekend availability may be required

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • 18th Edition (required)
  • CSCS (required)
