About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Engineer to join our team at ETS Technical. As a key member of our Calibration and Acceptance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our ultrasonic instruments within a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Working closely with our Calibration and Acceptance Team Leader, you will be responsible for undertaking all Calibration and Acceptance processes, achieving calibration and acceptance schedules, and meeting business objectives. You will also support and maintain our quality procedures, standards, and specifications, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake all Calibration and Acceptance procedures and accurately record all results.
• Maintain records, databases, and paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to continuously develop and improve our calibration and acceptance procedures and specifications.
• Report non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and ensure lessons learned are documented.
• Undertake fault investigation and complete repairs where required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within an instrumentation calibration/testing laboratory or similar.
• Relevant engineering/electronics qualification or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of test equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
• Understanding and appreciation of ISO and UKAS requirements.
• Knowledge of UKAS uncertainty budgets.
• Self-motivated and team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
