About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Tradesperson to join our Responsive Maintenance team at Saffron Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining general building works on all premises within our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all work of a maintenance nature as required, including plumbing, heating, tiling, and minor carpentry.
  • Undertake building work in association with improvements, minor works, and small new build contracts.
  • Ensure all jobs are closed down accordingly when repairs are completed via a mobile device.
  • Participate on the out-of-hours call-out rota to ensure the safety and security of our tenants and properties.
Requirements
  • A recognised trade apprenticeship, NVQ level 2, or equivalent level of skills and experience.
  • Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties, and in extreme temperatures and conditions.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently without close supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various audiences.
  • Able to use a mobile device to manage workload, send and receive emails, and access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings/training.
  • A full, current, valid driving licence.

We are a housing association based in Norfolk, providing quality homes and services to people across the county and in Suffolk. We manage over 6,000 homes, including affordable homes for those in housing need who cannot afford to rent or buy in the open market.
