Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Residential Team Leader to join our services based in Carlisle.

As a Therapeutic Residential Team Leader, you will play a key role in creating a purposeful, caring, and therapeutic learning environment for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the continued professional development of a small team of staff
  • Lead shifts and make well-judged decisions in line with care plans
  • Develop programmes that improve children's progress and interaction
  • Monitor and check staff to ensure they carry out their duties
  • Take part in rostered sleep-in duties
  • Work with the young people in a caring and nurturing manner to develop relationships based on trust, confidence, and understanding
  • Plan and join in with educational, recreational, occupational, and social activities
Requirements
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Be willing to learn and take part in training and development opportunities
  • Be able to work well as part of a small team
  • Have a full, clean UK driving licence and be able to cover at other Residential Homes as and when needed
