About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced KS1 Teacher to join our team at a vibrant and fun primary school in Cambridge. As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Key stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

About the School:

Our school is a 2-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Cambridge. We have a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. As well as academic excellence, we aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment. The school is easily accessible via public transport.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Cambridge via public transport.
  • Experience teaching Key stage 1.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behavior in line with school behavior policies.
