Job Title: Postperson Position

We are currently looking for a dedicated Postperson to join our team in Runcorn.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to local residents, working independently as well as part of a team.

About the Job:

As a Postperson, your day will start at the local delivery office, where you will sort and gather the mail needed for your route. You will then collect your allocated vehicle and hand-held computer device, which details your route and tracks your mail. Your shift lengths may vary between 6-8 hours per day, during which time you will deliver mail and parcels to your local community.

Please note that you will be walking more than driving and will need to be relatively fit and healthy. Royal Mail delivers parcels whatever the weather, so you should be comfortable working outdoors.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work

This is a temporary ongoing role, with opportunities to work up to 30 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is £13.37. You will also have the opportunity to work in the heart of your community, making a real impact on people's lives.
