About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. This is a permanent position that will play a key role in designing mechanical systems for spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design mechanical systems for spacecraft, including structure, thermal, and mechanisms. Troubleshoot design issues and ensure compliance with ECSS standards.
  • Technical Interface: Act as the technical interface with other internal technical areas and external suppliers.
  • Prototype Support: Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and test results to the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, with a proven track record of managing aerospace projects and demonstrating familiarity with ECSS standards and requirements.
  • Background: Background in FEM modeling and analysis, knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques used in the aerospace industry.
  • CAD Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, with background in CAD PTC Creo software a plus.
  • Language: Proficiency in both English required.
