Crown Agents Bank is a leading financial institution that connects emerging and frontier markets to the global economy. We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing innovative financial solutions.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the creditworthiness of our counterparties, including financial institutions, sovereigns, and non-bank financial institutions. This will involve analyzing financial statements, conducting sector research, and developing credit assessments to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare credit applications for new and existing clients, including financial analysis and credit assessments.
- Attend Credit Committee meetings and ensure that questions raised are properly addressed.
- Perform internal credit ratings using the Bank's rating system and expected credit loss calculations.
- Monitor market, regulatory, and macro-economic developments and assess their impact on the portfolio credit quality.
- Prepare scheduled and ad hoc credit reports covering exposures and credit risk developments.
- Ensure effective credit administration, including credit file maintenance and monitoring of credit limits.
- Participate in audit preparations and address audit queries in a timely manner.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities to improve credit processes and controls.
- Degree or equivalent in a commercial or numerical subject and/or relevant professional qualification.
- Demonstrable credit analysis experience and a broad knowledge of FIs, sovereigns, and corporates credit risk within the financial services industry.
- Working knowledge of banking products from a credit risk perspective, including global markets Treasury/FX products and trade finance.
