Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Credit Risk Analyst to join our client, a prominent West London-based commodity trading and environmental transition firm.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and utilize your expertise in credit risk management to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Evaluation: Conduct thorough credit assessments of businesses to determine their creditworthiness and identify potential risks. Analyze financial statements and other relevant data to assess clients' stability and financial health.
  • Risk Assessment: Provide credit rating recommendations and participate in group assessments of credit risk, considering industry trends, market conditions, collateral, and repayment capacity.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Supervise and review credit portfolios to detect emerging risks and trends, recommending appropriate risk-mitigation measures as needed.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed credit risk reports that include findings, recommendations, and supporting analysis, and present these to the company's internal Risk Committee.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior Credit Risk Analysts on the team.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Assist the internal M&A team by reviewing potential acquisition and investment opportunities, drafting concise reports for the Investment Committee, preparing bid letters, participating in final negotiations, and managing the due diligence process and sale/purchase documentation with external advisors.
  • Risk Monitoring: Continuously track credit risk trends and macroeconomic developments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Credit Risk Analyst or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in financial analysis methods with the ability to interpret financial statements from various European reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in credit risk management is advantageous.
  • Capable of reading and understanding financial data and conducting financial analyses.
  • Proficiency in any Slavic languages is an added advantage but not required.
