We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Mechatronics Engineer to join our R&D team at Magnetic Shields Limited.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to work on the design, development, and qualification of original equipment and supporting the practical build of repeating products. You will work closely with physicists and engineers to capture and integrate the interfaces between mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.

• Design and threading of cable looms from small-scale equipment racks to large complex structures
• Compiling CAD models and design documentation of electrical assemblies
• Design and construction of test jigs and small prototypes to test out concepts for new products and product upgrades
• Supporting the R&D team in integration, qualification, and product testing

• A degree in engineering
• Some practical experience with electronic measurement and signal generation equipment
• Basic programming skills for equipment automation and electro-mechanical control
• Strong analytical and computer skills, with good data presentation
• Soldering, crimping, and wiring experience
• Understanding of the generation and testing of DC & AC magnetic fields
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
