Residential Property Conveyancer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Property Conveyancer to join our team at O'Neill Patient Solicitors LLP.

As a key member of our conveyancing team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of residential property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, and new build transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage own caseload, monitoring and delivering fully against personal targets
  2. Independently establish priorities and manage deadlines
  3. Proactively and efficiently manage transactions, whilst managing Client expectation
  4. Responsible for files from opening through to completion, ensuring that all files are maintained in good order in compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and following regulatory and statutory requirements
  5. Provide clients with legal advice relevant to their cases, recording the advice and representing the best interests of the client in the transaction
  6. Taking instructions from clients and drafting the necessary legal documents and contracts for each case
  7. Proactively deal with the other side solicitors, mortgage lenders, brokers, clients and local authorities
  8. Deal with complex enquiries, researching previous cases and relevant laws to provide accurate advice
  9. Recognise potential risks and resolve issues without putting the client or business at risk
  10. Comply at all times with the Solicitors Regulation Authorities Rules
  11. Ensure that all files are billed correctly with the appropriate fees and on completion, funds are sent to the correct place
  12. Provide supervision, support and coaching to Paralegals
  13. Optimise the client experience through the use of our conveyancing systems and technology
  14. Provide an exceptional service both to the client but also to introducers and third parties

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience managing a residential property portfolio of cases from start to finish
  • Experience in New Build and Shared Ownership essential
  • Thorough understanding of various property laws
  • Commercial awareness, keeping up to date with business and industry news
  • Resilience with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and an analytical approach to come to the best legal solutions
  • Attention to detail, extremely accurate in research and the drafting of documents
  • Enthusiasm for delivering a high level of customer service
  • Enthusiastic team player and natural self-starter able to work independently
  • Ability to be flexible and empathetic to deliver client needs
